With the lines between music and fashion becoming ever blurred it’s no wonder that we are starting to see more and more labels collaborate with music artists for one off collections.
Earlier this year we saw Kanye team up with A.P.C and now, just in time for autumn, Converse have released a limited edition collection of Chuck Taylors in association with American hip-hop star Wiz Khalifa.
The ‘Black And Yellow’ chart topper has put his distinct, rebellious and fashion forward stamp onto twelve new designs, which marks the artist’s first foray into fashion.
The collection makes use of two iconic silhouettes: the Chuck Taylor All Star and the All Star SWAG.
The Converse Chuck Taylor All Stars are priced at £54.99 and feature canvas uppers in a variety of colour ways, including red, green, grey and blue with contrasting soles. These are available low and hi-top styles, and come complete with a ‘WK’ leather signature logo tab, laser etched ‘WIZ’ eyelets and special wax laces.
The SWAG styles are priced at £69.99 and feature additional premium detailing such as studs and leather accents. As well as the standard solid colour uppers, they are available in a vivid ‘canimal’ (camouflage/animal) print and come complete with contrasting colour soles, which includes a red leopard design that Wiz Khalifa has a tattoo of on his right forearm.
